Google announces Play Store gift cards offered through Target, GameStop, and RadioShack

After a little leaks and gossips, Bing is formally moving out physical gift cards for that Play Store. The brand new cards will be variations of $10, $25, and $50, plus they can be used as nearly anything within the Play Store, including in-application purchases but excluding physical goods or application and magazine monthly subscriptions. Within the next couple of days, Google states Target, GameStop, and RadioShack will all start providing the cards in shops, with Walmart to stock them online later in August. For the time being a minimum of, them can be found only in america.

Code from the recent Play Store update indicates that Google is going to be adding wishlists together with gift cards, but we’ve not seen this selection launch yet. Meanwhile, gift cards are another step for the former Android Market’s transition to some full-fledged content store, in addition to a method to contend with Apple’s iTunes yet others within the physical store market.
