Sickbeard Notices for an Android Phone using Notify My Android Application

Since I’ve got a working Sickbeard installation and also the media has been collected, the next phase ended up being to setup notices to ensure that I understand whenever a download has completed.

Sickbeard has support for &ldquoNotify my Android&rdquo and so i made the decision to try it out. I am posting the setup here since the setup wasn’t 100% apparent in my experience. And So I hope this can help someone out.

So Step One would be to download the Notify My Android Application in the Google Play Store.

After installing the application for your Android phone, around the first launch, you’ll be motivated to logon or create a merchant account. It was very easy. Choose a username, password, provide an e-mail, and you’re simply done.

Sickbeard NMA notices require an API key. After searching my phone’s application for that key I discovered that it should be produced online online.

Logon to world wide
Click &ldquoMy Account&rdquo -> &ldquoManage API Secrets&rdquo
Click on the button to &ldquoGenerate Key&rdquo.
Copy this key.

Now see your SickBeard Install. Goto CONFIG -> Notices. Scroll lower before you begin to see the Notify my Android section.

Look into the box to allow NMA notices.
Look into the box to Notify on Download to show you whenever a show is finished.
Paste within the API key in the NMA web page in to the API area.
Set your preferred priority.
