Alerts. The app will let you know about changes in the schedule, upcoming important sessions and other valuable information during the course of the meeting.
MyShow. This feature allows you to customize the app to create a personalized list of sessions, exhibitors, restaurants and other attractions in Chicago. You also can create a collection of your notes from sessions. The sessions you save in MyShow will be automatically added to the calendar on your iPhone, iPad or Android device if you enable that function under Settings. For users of Android and Apple devices, in MySchedule the time zone for each session added to your device calendar needs to be set to Chicago’s Central Time so that the correct time is maintained when you travel to Chicago.
Schedule. You can review every session, speaker, sponsor and exhibitor on your device.
Search. There are two search functions on the app that will save you time trying to find almost anything at the meeting. The first is a global search on the iPhone, iPad and Android devices—tap the magnifying glass in the lower right corner—that will search for any term on the app. The second is a filter function on the session schedule that allows you to create a listing based on Groups (Health Committee, Leadership Staff Section, etc.) and Topics (Budget and Tax, Education, etc.).
Surveys. You can rate each session, speaker, event or service at the Summit by opening the event in the app and selecting the Survey icon. The online publication reports that Danske Markets’ quotations for Statoil and Det norske following ONS have risen from 160 and 120 to 165 and 130 kroner per share, respectively, and recommends its clients to buy both.
Moreover, value estimates for the Geitungen field have been hiked from six to seven dollars a barrel in the wake of new assumptions about the field’s production profile.
As a direct result of signals given during ONS, DNB Markets are now incorporating shares in Aker Solutions as one of the recommended stocks in their portfolio.
Important meeting place
One of the aims of ONS is to create a meeting place for the global energy sector where visitors can get the latest technical information and a glimpse into the future of the energy industries. Response in the share markets is a clear signal that ONS 2012 has succeeded in this aim.
“This just shows how important it is to attend ONS, both for your company, investors, and anyone who wants to keep up to speed on what’s happening in the energy sector”, says ONS President and CEO, Leif Johan Sevland. Now in its 3rd year, Apps World has grown to be one of the leading global multi-platform events in the mobile industry. This year’s Earls Court 2 event is set to be the biggest yet with over 5000 developers, mobile marketers, mobile operators, device manufacturers, platform owners and industry professionals expected for two days of high level insight and discussion. With 10 targeted workshop tracks, speed meeting, one-to-one meetings, parties, and awards the event will be tackling a spectrum of issues across the app ecosystem.
